Log Cabins: Garden offices & timber buildings

A log cabin is basically a small house built from logs, wood, timber etc and used as anything from a garden playhouse for children to a garden or home office but is different from a timber framed building because the logs form the framing and the cladding combined whereas a timber framed building has a timber studwork frame which is then clad with a thin cladding (usually shiplap or featheredge) on the outside.

We are a major stockist of log-cabins, timber garages and timber framed buildings such as gazebos, pavilions and garden offices and wooden studios. Bespoke and custom build timber building designs are our speciality and we can help you with advice through the planning stages and regulations regarding your log cabin or timber framed building requirements or building project.

We often stock cabins with Scandinavian, Canadian, Swedish and mid west USA styles and themes. For example, some cabins are made with Russian redwood either with round logs, square flat logs or sawn timber. We use high quality red, green or grey shingles for roof cover that are long lasting and durable against the elements.

We are able to offer a nationwide installation service for our cabins, prices vary for each cabin [please see our optional extras page]

Our cabins are supplied with glass windows and doors [not perspex], some of which are double glazed as standard. If the cabin is only supplied with single glazing as standard we offer the option for double glazing [please see our log-cabins optional extras page].

We can also offer fully insulated cabins [roof, walls & floor] for comfortable all year round use, these are called the "Twinskin" range which offer fantastic insulation values which are better than a mobile home, for instance. We can currently offer 4 different styles [please see Twinskin Cabin pages for details]

DIY Cabin further innovation we can now offer is a "design your own cabin" range. These cabins have 4 walls, roof and floor but no holes cut for doors and windows. This then means the customer can choose the position the doors and windows exactly where they are required which means simply cutting the logs appropriately in order to house the doors and windows, which are pre-hung and pre-glazed. This is a very quick and easy operation to do giving the customer the exact cabin required and not having to fit in with a standard design which may not suit it's intended

Doors and windows can be inserted in the cabin as you want during installation.
